Postcode lottery funding

The NCIUA is an organisation which represents all cochlear implant users in the UK. It is open to all implant users, their family and friends. The organisation is particularly active in a number of initiatives, including the chance (or lack of chance) of receiving an implant dependent upon where you live, otherwise known as ‘postcode lottery funding’.

League tables

League tables are no longer limited to sport. Exam results, school and hospital star ratings, birth rate, even death rates, everything seems to come down to comparative league tables. So what about cochlear implants? Where do they stand in all this? The fact is that such comparisons have not previously been drawn so this article seeks to fill that gap and draw some meaningful conclusions.
